Boil order issued for Miner after water main break

MINER, MO (KFVS) -

The city of Miner, Missouri is under a boil water order. The city was without water for several hours on Tuesday evening, Dec. 30, according to police.

The city says due to a water main break in the 100 block of Matthews Lane, the water department had temporarily shut down water to most of the city.

Water is back on in Miner as of Dec. 31. There is a boil water for the next 48 hours. There is still no cause on why the break occurred.

Police say the only way to fix it was to shut off the water.

Police said they did not anticipate a problem with the fire department not having water.
