1 killed in crash in Carlisle Co.

CARLISLE COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - An 85-year-old Wickliffe man was killed in a crash Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of KY 307 and KY 80 around 6:25 a.m.

Henry D. Blanks, 85, of Wickliffe was driving a 1997 GMC 1 ton dually traveling south on KY 307. Blanks failed to stop at the intersection of KY 80, according to Kentucky State Police. 

He was hit on the driver's side by a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Joshua D. Letcher, 21, of Fancy Farm who was traveling west on KY 80. 

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Blanks was pronounced dead on the scene by the Carlisle County Coroner's Office.
