CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash at William and Edgewood in Cape Girardeau Tuesday morning.

Cpl. Darin Hickey with the Cape Girardeau Police Department says four vehicles were involved in the wreck around 10:35 a.m.

Hickey says an 86-year-old woman was driving east on William when she crossed the centerline and hit three vehicles. The woman and another driver were injured. The two other drivers were not injured.

While officers were on scene, a second crash happened east of the initial crash site involving three vehicles. The vehicles had slowed due to heavy traffic. No injuries were reported.

The wreck is under investigation.
