Missing KY man found safe Tuesday morning

OHIO COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Kentucky State Police Post 16 Troopers have canceled a “Golden Alert” for a missing Kentucky man after he was found in Georgia.

According to KSP, Wavy H. “Dub” Sandefur was found safe Tuesday morning. 

Sandefur had last been seen leaving his home in Rosine in Ohio County, Kentucky driving his 2011 Red Toyota Venza Monday morning.

Sandefur was found in Henry County, Georgia by police after he reported his vehicle was missing.

Police say he was staying in a motel. When he woke up Tuesday morning, he found his vehicle was taken. He called police to report the missing vehicle. That's when police realized a Golden Alert was issued for Sandefur.

He was found at 8:45 a.m.
