Does It Work: Flip2BFit

(KFVS) - It's almost time to make your New Year's resolution, and while many will promise to lead a healthier lifestyle, a board game claims to help get the whole family active while having fun.

It's called Flip2BFit.

The object of the game is fitness. teacher Zack Walton and South Elementary school kids in Jackson helped us put the game to the test.

The game revolves around 4 categories: strength, stretching, cardio, and yoga.

The students split into 4 teams.

On their turn, they spun the dial to pick a category.

They drew a card from the designated category...and had to move their body in order to move a space.

"So that means everybody's up on your team, we've got to do 15 jumping jacks," said Walton.

Walton said he would modify the game a little since some of the terms are different than what they use and these kids know.

"These are called can openers, we call them a little bit different, touching our toes," said Walton. "We're going to do it five times, and it says touch your toes, stand with your feet together, so stand, arms stretched over your head, you're going to bend over and touch your toes without bending your knees and hold it for 3 seconds."

Overall the testers seem to like the game.

"It would be a good fun game to play with, get people moving, get you off the couch," said Walton.

"It was pretty cool," said Abigail Baker.

"I liked it because it was fun and you go to do the exercises," said Julia Schlitt.

"Because I like P.E." said Brett Findley.

"Because I like to move around and it's like P.E." said Miles Nater.

"I think it's on the right track and has some really good intentions in it, to get kids involved in fitness," said Walton.

Our testers gave the Flip2BFit game 4 stars.

We found the online for about $35.
