Crash leads to multiple charges for Brookport, IL resident

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Brookport, Illinois woman is facing charges after a crash overnight.

According to the McCracken County, Kentucky sheriff's office, at 12:22 a.m. on Dec 21, an injury crash was reported at the intersection of Husband Road and Clarkline Road in McCracken County.

Tonia A. Gibson, 39, was driving a 2012 Dodge Avenger on Husband Road when she failed to make the turn at Clarkline Road and collided with a guardrail.

Deputies arrived to find her being tended to by an emergency worker. She was then taken to Lourdes Hospital and treated for minor injuries. 

After her release from the hospital she was taken into custody at McCracken County Regional Jail under multiple charges.

-Operating a motor vehicle under the influence

-Criminal mischief to the 1st degree

-Failure of owner to maintain insurance

-Possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle
