Obama grants clemency to Kennett man

WASHINGTON (KFVS/AP) -

President Obama has granted clemency to several prisoners who had been sentenced to long prison sentences for drug offenses.

According to the Associated Press, Antonio Reeves of Kennett was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing cocaine in 2004.

Obama commuted the sentences as part of a program to reduce harsh sentences for non-violent drug offenders.
