Tractor trailer slows traffic on NB I-55 crash at 112 MM

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Northbound Interstate 55 was down to one lane after a tractor trailer crashed near the 112.2 mile marker.

The truck was hauling plywood. The 44-year-old driver lost control and crashed. 

The driver had to be cut out of the cab of the truck, but was able to walk on his own. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.  

The Fruitland Fire Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the scene.

    SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon is collaborating with Cedarhurst Center for Arts to conduct the "Opening Minds through Art" program for those living with neurocognitive disorders.
