Hundreds lay wreaths on Missouri fallen soldiers' graves

BLOOMFIELD, MO (KFVS) - Hundreds of people gathered to decorate Missouri veteran's graves on Saturday.

It was the eighth annual Wreaths Across America event at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Local organizations raised enough money again this year to make sure there were enough wreaths on every grave.

People we talked to say it's a great way to show support for our county's service members.

"It's just a tremendous honor,” Navy veteran Johnny Hughes said. “They do such great job here at the cemetery taking care of our veterans. It's just really a privilege to come out and show that honor and respect."

Participants say it is a good way to get kids involved to teach them about the sacrifices made by men and women in the military.
