Police say three juveniles are facing charges after a church van was damaged in Murpysboro, Illinois.

According to police, two 12-year-olds and a 13-year-old are accused of causing more than $10,000 worth of damage to the church bus.

Police say the juveniles told investigators that they had caused the damage.

The three youths were taken into custody. They were released to their parents pending an appearance in juvenile court.

According to the police department, officers got a call for a suspicious person possibly damaging a vehicle in a parking lot on Dec. 11. Officers went to the area and found the Victory Christian Fellowship van parked on the lot with extensive damage.

Police say the suspects had left the scene before officers got there.

Church members say this isn't the first time this has happened. They use these vans for their youth center and various other activities, and use them very often.

The vans are not usually parked outside, but on Wednesday they were due to an event that was going on.

No one was injured during the incident.
