Car crash sends three to hospital, one charged with DUI

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Benton, Ky. man admitted he was drinking alcohol before he caused a car crash Thursday evening.

The injury accident lead three people including the driver Justin Edwards to be hospitalized.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Edwards was traveling southbound on Lindberg Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign and then crashed into another vehicle.

Kenneth Craven was traveling with his 11-year-old son, Austin, when Edwards crashed into them.

The sheriff's department said Edwards was in no condition to be operating a vehicle.

All three people were taken to Western Baptist Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Edwards was charged with a DUI, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and Disregarding a stop sign.
