Jackson Co. crash that injured 2 still under investigation

VERGENNES, IL (KFVS) -

A crash that injured two people in Jackson County, Illinois Wednesday evening is under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 127 and Porter Avenue in Vergennes when a car driven by Santana Doerr didn't stop at the intersection. Doerr then drove into the path of a truck driven by Amanda Haun.

Haun hit Doerr on the driver's side which caused Doerr's car to go off the road, hitting a house and another parked vehicle.

Both drivers were injured and taken to a local hospital. There is no word at this time on how serious the injuries were.

The crash is still under investigation.
