Redmond says the occupants were out of the vehicle when deputies arrived.

The vehicle was on fire and had rolled over on its top.

A 17-year-old from Benton, Kentucky, and his 21-year-old passenger from Mayfield, said they northbound on KY 534 when they topped a hill and a south bound vehicle was across the center line.

Redmond say the teen driver swerved to avoid collision. He over-corrected, lost control and spun across the oncoming lane.

His vehicle then overturned and caught on fire.

Both were wearing their seat belts.

They were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
