Kevil, KY man injured after deer hits car

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Kevil, Kentucky man suffered some minor injuries Monday evening after a deer hit the side of his car, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies say the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on westbound US 60 near Metropolis Lake Road. Jerry L. Smith, 42, was driving east when a deer ran across the median and hit the driver's side door of Smith's car. 

When the deer hit the car, it shattered the window and caused minor injuries to Smith. He was taken to Baptist Health Paducah where he was treated and released.
