A Murphysboro, Illinois man is accused of holding up two stores on Saturday.

Saturday, shortly before 3 p.m. on Dec. 6, police were called to the Farm Fresh Store on Walnut Street in Murphysboro about a robbery.

Officers were given a description of the suspect as being a black man, wearing a black hoodie with red and green graphics on the front.

He had demanded money and inferred he had a gun in the pocket of the hoodie.

He left the store east in the alley.

An officer saw someone matching the description. He was now wearing a black t-shirt, but appeared to have a hoodie tucked under his arm.

The man was detained and identified as the suspect in this robbery. An undisclosed amount of cash was recovered from the man.

Adrian Lamont Harris, 42, of Murphysboro, Illinois faces charges with this robbery and a  robbery of the Huck's Store.

Police say they were called the Huck's Store on Walnut Street shortly after 4 a.m. about a robbery.

Officers say a black male had entered the store wearing a black hat, hoodie with red lettering and black gloves.

The man demanded money and inferred he had a gun in the pocket of the hoodie.

The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and left the store.

Harris was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance on initial charges of aggravated robbery and an outstanding warrant from Clay County, Illinois for aggravated battery with a weapon.
