Lyon Co. man accused of arson, burglary

LYON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Kuttawa, Kentucky man is facing burglary and arson charges.

Melvin W. Harris, 56, was charged with second degree arson, second degree burglary, first degree criminal mischief and selling or receiving a vehicle with a removed or altered vehicle identification number.

According to Kentucky State Police, Harris was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and taken to the Union County Jail on a $17,500 bond.

Police say the three-month long investigation began with an arson and burglary on KY 93 South on Sept. 8.
