CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The 2014 Parade of Lights is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 30 in downtown Cape Girardeau starting approximately at 5 p.m. This years theme is "Christmas Carols & Candy Canes."

Around 100 decorated vehicles and trailers, fire trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and animals of all kinds will start at Capaha Park and head down Broadway.

They will continue to Main St. and will end up at Hutson's parking lot. Every parade entry is required to be lighted, play music and adding extra cheer.

"This event is a fun way for families and friends to come together, and for our community to come together in our downtown and partake in this holiday tradition that helps ring in the Christmas season," said Parade Co-Chairperson Vicki Zickfield.
