Cape Central loses to Webb City in state championship game

ST. LOUIS, MO (KFVS) -

The Cape Central Tigers lost to Webb City 48-21 in the Tiger's first state title game.

The game was played Saturday at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

After the 1st quarter, Cape Central led 14-0, but Webb City took a 27-14 lead at halftime.

Webb City  had the score up to 48-21 in 4th quarter over Cape Central.

The Webb City Cardinals won their  5th straight, and 13th overall State Championship.

Webb City is top ranked in the state and also ranked in the top 25 nationally.
