CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) -

During the week of Thanksgiving, students in Mrs. Kim Wells' Kindergarten class participated their room's "Parent Involvement Turkey Camouflage Contest," the classic turkey-in-disguise art project with an added parent involvement element.

After reading a Thanksgiving story in class, students were challenged to take a turkey drawing home and, with help from their parents, create a disguise to save the turkey from being served for dinner.

Each child that participated received a prize, and the top three clever designs will receive gift bags.

The school and Mrs. Wells would like to thank all the parents/guardians who participated in the project.
