MOUNDS, IL (KFVS) - Two people have been shot in Mounds, Illinois.

It happened in the area of Blanche and 2nd streets late on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26.

The Mounds Police Department, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, and Illinois State Police are investigating.

Both victims were transported to a Cape Girardeau hospital. No word if the two shootings are connected.

According to Cape Girardeau County coroner John Clifton, a person who was brought by ambulance from Pulaski County died in a Cape Girardeau hospital's emergency room. Clifton could not comment on how that person died.
