The Scott County sheriff's office says a Kelso, Missouri woman is accused of using a stolen credit card.

Rena Elizabeth Miller, 44, of Kelso, faces charges of theft of a credit card and the fraudulent use of a credit device.

Sheriff Rick Walter says the victim had received a statement from the credit card company showing the card had been used, and that she owed a minimum payment.

The victim told officers the card had not been used since 2008.

The victim contacted the credit card company fraud department, and learned approximately $5,000 worth of charges had been made on the card. The victim provided investigators with information, which led to Miller as the suspect.

The card company said that the card in the victim's name had been sent to Miller's address.

According to the sheriff's office, Miller admitted to using the credit card, and to making purchases. Miller stated that she had paid the balance of $5,000 on Friday, November 21. Miller also admitted that she knew the card was in the name of the victim.

The sheriff says Miller was booked into the Scott County Jail. Bond was set by the court at $5,000 cash or surety.
