Jackson, MO man pleads guilty to assault on officer

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

The Cape Girardeau County, Missouri Prosecuting Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday, Nov. 25 that a man pleaded guilty on Nov. 24 to three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer.

Lawrence Guthrie, 48, pleaded guilty at the Jackson courthouse in Cape Girardeau County.

His sentencing date has been set for Feb. 17, 2015.

    People in one neighborhood are starting to calm down, after a shooting suspect is put into custody. He reportedly shot at his wife and a state trooper in Jackson, Missouri.
    Prosecutor Morley Swingle charged Lawrence Guthrie, 45, with three felony counts of assault on a law enforcement, one felony count of domestic assault and one count of armed criminal action.
