Carbondale police searching for suspects in shooting investigation

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale, Illinois Police Department is investigating after reports of shots fired on Sunday, Nov. 23.

According to police, around 1:20 a.m., they responded to the 400 block of East Willow Street in reference to a report of shots fired.

Police say they learned that after several people were denied entry to a party, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several shots in the direction of the building's entrance.

According to police, no one was injured.

Police say one of the suspects is described as a light-skinned, black male in his mid-20s, with short, black, flat top haircut. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and blue jeans.

A second suspect is described as a black male, 5', 10" tall with a muscular build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black, sleeveless shirt and baggy blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing.
