CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The Carbondale Racial Justice Coalition says it will hold a peaceful demonstration as soon as there's a decision made on Officer Darren Wilson.

Organizers of the coalition have already put together signs, stating “Justice” and “Black Lives Matter.”

Organizers of the group say they want to protest because they believe this is not only a Ferguson issue or a black and white issue, but a situation where everyone should be involved.

“It's not theirs, it's not someone else's justice, it's everyone's justice,” organizer Cathy Field said.

Organizers say they ask for everyone to create a peaceful atmosphere during this demonstration.

"We not only want to make sure the protesters are nonviolent, we want to make sure police are nonviolent too," one organizer said.

Whether Officer Wilson is indicted or not, the Carbondale Racial Justice Coalition did state protesters plan to line up along Main Street once the decision is made.
