Murphysboro woman accused of throwing food in restaurant, attacking manager

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

A Murphysboro, Illinois woman isn't the Hamburgler, but she is facing a battery charge after police say she threw food in a McDonald's and attacked the manager.

Jami Lynn Boyer, 30, was charged with battery.

Police say on Friday, Nov. 21 around 10:03 a.m., they were called to the McDonald's at 1020 Walnut Street in reference to a disturbance.

They say they arrived and found a customer allegedly started an argument over food items with employees.

During the argument, police say the customer allegedly threw a soft drink on the floor and allegedly threw food behind the counter.

According to police the customer, identified as Boyer, they allegedly physically attacked the manager.

Police say employees were able to get the customer out of the door when they arrived.

Boyer was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
