CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) -

"Dunkin' With Dads (And Other Important Men)" was held on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Charleston Middle School, for students in grades Pre-K to eighth grades and their fathers, or father figures.

This well-attended event featured four "Blue Jay Classes" held throughout the school.

These stations included a talk given by Principal Frank Ellis on his experience as a former Blue Jays basketball player, a review of the district's reading programs, some team building activities and encouragement aimed at fathers.

The CHS Cheerleaders and school mascot Billy Blue led cheers, gave away some Blue Jay merchandise, and took pictures with guests.

Near the end of the event, pizza was served in the commons and the gym was available for parents and students to play basketball.
