Man accused of DUI after crash in Marshall County, KY

GILBERTSVILLE, KY (KFVS) -

A western Kentucky man is facing charges after a crash in Marshall County.

The Kentucky State Police responded to a wreck on Gilbertsville Road, Tuesday at about 9 p.m.

According to a KSP investigation, James A. Campbell, 42 of Gilbertsville, was traveling westbound on Gilbertsville Road in a pickup truck.

For an unknown reason Campbell lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road in an attempt to regain control;

Campbell overcorrected and went down an embankment striking a tree.

The man was taken to the Marshall County emergency room, where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

Campbell was then arrested for DUI 2nd offense aggravated circumstances, driving on a DUI suspended license and no seatbelt.

Campbell was booked into the Marshall County Detention Center.

KSP was assisted on the scene by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, and the Marshall County EMS.

KSP continues the investigation.
