SO: 2 Perryville, MO men facing drug related charges

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

A Missouri sheriff's office says two men were put behind bars and are facing drug related charges after performing home searches.

Members of the Perry County, Missouri Sheriff's Office, SEMO drug task force and Perryville, Missouri Police Department executed two search warrants on the night of November 18 and 19.

According to the Perry County Sheriff's Office, the first search warrant was at an apartment on West St. Joseph Street in Perryville.

Darnell Brownlee, 51, was charged with possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence in felony prosecution, and resisting arrest involving a felony.

The second search warrant was executed at a home on Dala Street in Perryville.

Steven M. Scamell, 31, was charged with distribution of heroin, distribution of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and five counts of possession of controlled substance (hydacodone, alprazolam, hydracodone bitrate, buprenorphine, and suboxone sublingual film).

Both were booked at the Perry County Sheriff's Office.
