New Madrid man killed in crash

PORTAGEVILLE, MO (KFVS) - A New Madrid man was killed in a crash east of Portageville on Sunday.

Donald R. Johnson, 54, of New Madrid was driving on County Road 425 south of County Road 422 three miles east of Portageville when his Susuki ran off the road and struck a ditch around 7:42 p.m.

Johnson was ejected from the vehicle and the vehicle came to rest on top of him. 

Johnson was pronounced dead by the New Madrid County Coroner George Delisle at the scene at 8:30 p.m.
