BLOOMFIELD, MO (KFVS) -

More than 100 people came out to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The cemetery is a final resting place for prisoners of war, those missing in action and those killed in action.

This program included a POW/MIA table ceremony, keynote speaker Edward Gargas, TAPS and the Firing of Volley.

Bloomfield High School students were on hand for the ceremony and say they are very thankful of what soldiers past and present have done and still do for our country. They feel that they would have what they have today if it weren't for these brave men and women that fought for our country for the opportunities today.

We also talked with an active soldier who said that it's important for our children to be educated on what our Veterans have done for us. It's also important that we follow the footsteps of our veterans and continue to accomplish the goals they set out for the people of today and those in the future.
