SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Louisana man is in custody in the Scott County Jail.

Tyler Levron, 44,  of Denison, La., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and driving while suspended. He was taken to the Scott County Jail and bond was set at $3,500 cash only.

According to Sheriff Walter, on Monday, Nov. 10 around 7:37 a.m. officers responded to Boomland on State Highway 77 in Benton, Mo. in reference to a naked man.

Sheriff Walter said the deputies found the man partially clothed behind the steering wheel of a red pickup with Iowa license plates on the parking lot.

They identified the man as Levron.

Deputies say they determined Levron had a suspended license.

After getting consent, they searched and found two Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills in the Levron's pants pockets.

Deputies say they received consent to search the vehicle and found what appeared to be new electronic devices that included two Garmin automotive GPS units, a 28-inch Vizio television, a beard trimmer, new clothing and a stack of new Walmart plastic bags.

They say Levron told them he had bought the items in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Levron was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail.

An officer contacted Walmart about the electronic items.

Sheriff Walter said it was determined that the TV was still listed in the inventory of a Walmart store in Kirksville, Mo., but no longer in their possession.

He said this indicates that the item was stolen, because when the bar code is scanned at checkout, it is removed from the store inventory.

Sheriff Walter asks that anyone with information about the case contact the Scott County Sheriff's Office at 545-3525, or leave a message on the crime tip line at 1-866-210-4322.
