In this week's Everybody in the Heartland has a Story, Mary Ann Maloney talked to Carter Day from Naylor, Mo. Life can deal some pretty harsh blows, but Carter is proof that you can't keep a good man down.

A Jackson, Mo. high school student ran 2.5 miles in a state race and finished 22nd place...all while wearing one shoe. Todd Tumminia talked to him today and will this story on Heartland News at 9 and 10.
