Murphysboro man sentenced to 12 years for meth possession

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -


A Murphysboro, Illinois man has been sentenced to 12 years for meth possession with intent to deliver.

Ygnacio M. Romero, 36, was sentenced to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on one count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

According to Union County State's Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds, Romero was arrested by Jonesboro police in July 2014 at a Jonesboro business.

The Union County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
