One lane of southbound Interstate 55 was closed near the 94 mile marker on Friday afternoon due to a crash, according to Cape Girardeau police. The male driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sikeston Humane Society says someone stole a young pit bull from the shelter on Wednesday night. They say the dog, about six months to a year old, was being housed outside of the shelter. You can contact Sikeston DPS if you have any information.
