Scott City voters pass Proposition Kids

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - On Tuesday, voters passed Proposition Kids in Scott City, Mo.

This bond issue will allow the Scott City R-1 School district to borrow $1.75 million.

This money will be divided in several ways.

About $1 million will be used to enhance security at entrances, repair roofs and remodel the cafeteria.

The rest of the money will be used to acquire facilities under the Series 2011B lease.

About 73 percent of people voted for the proposition, and 27 percent of the voters said no to this.
