Sikeston man arrested in TN in connection with bank robbery

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

A Sikeston, Missouri man has been arrested in Memphis, Tennessee for allegedly robbing a bank.

Quinton Turk, 24, was arrested on a warrant for first degree robbery. His bond was set at $25,000.

He's at the Shelby County Jail awaiting extradition.

According to Sikeston police, on Oct. 20, the Alliance Bank at 820 N. Main in Sikeston, was robbed by a man who ran away. They say the robbery was just before noon and an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

Sikeston DPS worked a join investigation with the FBI to find the suspect.

Based on the information and evidence they gathered, they identified the suspect as Turk.

They got a warrant for Turk on Oct. 30.

On Halloween night, police say they received information that Turk was in a hotel in Shelby County, Tenn.

Investigators identified the hotel he was staying in and Sikeston DPS notified the Shelby County Fugitive Task Force.

The task force then sent several units to the hotel and arrested Turk around 8:40 p.m. without incident.
