MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Two men have died in separate crashes in Marshall County, Kentucky.
According to the sheriff's office, the first crash happened on October 30 shortly after 4 p.m. on KY 1422 (Palma Road).
A motorcycle driven by Glenn T. Thorn, 66 of Benton, Kentucky, failed to negotiate a curve and left the road.
Thorn was transported by Marshall County EMS, and later transferred to medical helicopter. A short time later he died.
The sheriff's office was assisted on the scene by Palma Briensburg Fire Department and Marshall County EMS.
Then, on October 31, shortly after 2:30 a.m. the sheriff's office responded to English Road for a vehicle that had left the road and hit a tree.
Officers say Thomas E. Bonnell, 27 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky was westbound on English Road near Pugh School Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a tree.
Bonnell died at the scene.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Palma Briensburg Fire Department, Marshall County EMS and the Marshall County Coroner's Office.
The investigation is continuing.
