FARMINGTON, MO (KFVS) - A hazmat team dispatched to the Centene Corporation determined the unknown material was non-toxic, according to the Farmington Police Department.
Police responded to Centene Corporation in Farmington after a suspicious package was found in the building on Thursday.
It happened around 12:57 p.m. at 1 Centene Dr. in Farmington, according to the Farmington Police Department.
Five mail room employees who were in direct contact with the package and its contents were quarantined.
Seventeen more employees who were in the mail room when the package was reported were quarantined.
Other employees in the building were evacuated as a precaution.
According to police, all quarantined personnel were medically screened and released.
Farmington Fire Department/Hazardous Materials Team, the Farmington Police Department, and St. Francois Ambulance District responded to the scene.
