3 vehicle wreck on US 60 in KY sends 2 people to the hospital

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The sheriff's office says a three vehicle crash on US 60 in McCracken County, Kentucky hurt two people on Thursday.

According to the McCracken County sheriff's office, it happened around 2:40 p.m.

Theresa Tucker, 54, of Ledbetter, Kentucky was trying to cross her vehicle over US 60 from Mayfield Metropolis Road southbound. Tucker told officers she became distracted by a passing vehicle and believed US 60 to be clear of traffic.

When Tucker entered the eastbound lanes of US 60 she collided with a vehicle driven by Sue Kirkpatrick, 73, of Paducah, Kentucky who was traveling eastbound. Kirkpatrick's vehicle left the road and came to rest in the ditch. Tucker's vehicle, after striking Kirkpatrick, continued on and struck a vehicle driven by Curt Stevens, 72, and his passenger Janet Stevens, 72, both of Paducah.

The Stevens' were stationary at the stop sign on Mayfield Metropolis Rd. facing northbound.

Both Tucker and Kirkpatrick were taken to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Mercy EMS and Concord Fire Department.
