2 in custody after morphine pill bust in Perryville

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

Two Illinois men are accused of selling morphine pills in Perryville, Missouri.

On Oct. 21, the Perry County Sheriff's Office got information that someone was trying to sell morphine pills.

Law enforcement covertly arranged to meet with the suspect and make an undercover purchase.

They met at the McDonalds' parking lot in Perryville, Missouri.

After the drug purchase, officers with the Perry County Sheriff's Office, Perryville Police Department and SEMO drug task force surrounded the three suspects and took them into custody.

Arrested were: Cordell J. Barcus, 19, of Belleville, Illinois, David A. Hardy, 23, of Cahokia Illinois and a 16 year old female juvenile from Waterloo, Illinois.

The juvenile was referred to juvenile authorities.

Barcus and Hardy were charged with distribution of a controlled substance.

They were booked into the Perry County Sheriff's Office pending warrants.
