Carbondale police look for Walgreens robbery suspect

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Carbondale police are investigating a robbery at a Walgreens on Monday.

Police say it happened around 3:05 a.m. at a business at 200 block of South Wall Street. 

A male entered Walgreens and approached an employee near the front entrance. He then demanded the clerk open the cash register and he said that he had a gun, according to the Carbondale Police Department.  

The clerk opened the cash register and police say the suspect stole money from the cash register before running from the store on foot. 

The suspect is described as a white male who is five foot tall with a beard. He was last seen wearing a orange hooded sweatshirt with light colored blue jeans and white shoes.
