METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) - The 41st annual encampment took place this weekend at Fort Massac.
Visitors had the chance to travel through time as they watched actors play out battles similar to those of the 1700 and 1800's.
Hundred of people gathered to watch the event.
Bradley Gray, a boy scout troop leader says it's a both fun and educational experience for his troop.
“Outfits, just kind of see the way people possibly lived back then," Gray said. "Kind of get some history and what's going on. And it's just a good time for the boys.”The actors shared what it may have been like to be a military person in several different cultures such as a French, British, or Colonial.
