Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Scott County couple is in custody for drug charges.
Russell Eugene Turner, 50, and Connie Yvonne Turner, 40, both of Benton were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Walter says on Saturday deputies went to the Turner's home for a follow-up investigation.
The deputies had a consent to search form signed by Connie Turner to search the home. Russell Turner was also asked and gave his consent, according to the sheriff.
After a search, the sheriff said drug paraphernalia was found.
Walter says a field test of the residue on the items indicated positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Walter says Connie Turner admitted to using methamphetamine. Russell Turner denied using the drug, but later submitted to a urine test which indicated positive.
Both were taken to the Scott County Jail.
Their bond has been set by the court for each at $750.00 cash only.
