Moped vs. deer crash sends Paducah man to hospital

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah, Kentucky man was taken to the hospital after a moped vs. deer crash.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to Schneidman Road on Oct. 17 around 6:50 p.m. for an injury crash involving a moped.

Deputies say the investigation revealed that Charles T. Hayden, 36, was going eastbound on Schneidman Road.

He told them he was going about 20 mph when a deer ran in front of him.

Hayden hit the deer and was ejected from the moped.

Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He was taken to a Paducah hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
