Naylor, MO man found guilty in deaths of two brothers

REYNOLDS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Naylor, Missouri man was found guilty on Friday, Oct. 17 in connection with the deaths of two children in a house fire in December 2012.

Joshua Maynard was found guilty of two counts of second degree murder, arson first and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Three-month-old J.J. Piatt and his 2-year-old brother, Charlie, died in the fire at a home off of Highway 72.

Reynolds County Sheriff Tom Volner said a woman was babysitting the two brothers that died. The surviving children were treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
