SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Morley, Mo. man is accused of a sex crime involving a juvenile.

Timothy Scott Graham, 43, was charged with statutory sodomy in the second degree.

According to Sheriff Walter, they began investigating the case on Thursday, Oct. 9. During an investigation into an unrelated matter, he said information was revealed that Graham may be involved in an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile.

Sheriff Walter interviewed the victim and based on the information, a safe exam was scheduled at the Cape Girardeau Beacon Center.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, Sheriff Walter said the exam was given and information provided by the juvenile gave investigators probable cause to believe that Graham had committed an illegal act with the victim.

On Friday, Oct. 17 around 9 a.m., Graham was arrested and taken to the Scott County Sheriff's Office where he was interviewed.

Sheriff Walter said Graham waived his Miranda Rights and confessed to a sex act with the juvenile.

Graham was in the Scott County Jail. His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
