Hardin County jail escapee captured in Carrier Mills

HARDIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Authorities say a Hardin County, Illinois jail escapee has been captured in Carrier Mills, Illinois.

Robert Hardy Rush was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon, according to sheriff's office dispatch in Hardin County.

Rush, 30, of Elizabethtown, escaped during processing on Friday.

He had been driving a 2006 Honda Utility vehicle that was stolen from a home.

He had been seen on Tower Rock Road toward Cave In Rock.

Rush was initially being held on a felony warrant.
