Police chase ends at McDonald's, puts schools on lock down for short time

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau police assisted the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force with an arrest on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Police say the effort resulted in a chase which ended at the McDonald's on Broadway around 4 p.m.

Because it happened near the Cape Girardeau Middle School and the junior high school, the schools say they were both on lock down for a few minutes. They say since it was after school, very few kids were there.
