A Murphysboro, Illinois man is facing charges after police say they found more than 6 pounds of marijuana.
Deborez Taylor, 29, was arrested for parole violations and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver over 2,000 grams. Taylor is being held in the Jackson County Jail.
According to Murphysboro police, around 8 a.m. on Oct. 15, a parole compliance check was conducted on current IDOC parolees in the Jackson County area.
During the check, police say Taylor was found in possession of more than 6 pounds of cannabis.
Police say two other arrests were made during the sweep. One for violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act and another for an out of area arrest warrant.
