EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, IL (KFVS) - The East Cape Girardeau trustees met on Tuesday night and discussed a number of issues including the recent shooting at the parking lot of the Pony. They also discussed liquor ordinance changes.
The leaders approved a special meeting for the liquor ordinance on Oct. 21.
The shooting discussion saw a number of different opinions. Some believe that the shooting was a result of previous events that took place in other cities. Others responded by saying they've never been so scared.
There were talks of suspending the liquor license of the Pony, but that did not happen.
The Alexander County Sheriff's Department is handling the criminal investigation.
East Cape Police Chief William Gibson requested videos in order to conduct an investigation to see if other violations occurred, so far his request has been denied.
